Kwadwo Asamoah sbobet168 hasn’t been around for all seven of Juventus’ current title run, but it’s close enough where he has seen nothing but title-winning seasons since trading in bianconero for bianconero. He has seen a lot during his six years in Turin, and played plenty of places on the field, too — from young central midfielder with plenty of potential to a left wingback under Antonio Conte to a central midfielder again to now a solid backup left back.
And, as Asamoah announced himself early Friday morning on social media, there won’t be a seventh season in bianconero come the early-fall months. When the new season begins, Asamoah will be a part of a new team, Maybe in Serie A (with Inter), maybe in a different league (Galatasaray), but all we know is that he won’t be playing for Juventus beyond this weekend.
In case you’re old like me and don’t want to try and read such small print, here’s Asamoah’s farewell letter in full:
Neither words nor actions could express the difficulty in taking this decision because I’m immensely proud of my time here. Every single person at the club will forever have a special place in my heart, from the Coaches to my teammates, through to the staff and most importantly the wonderful and vociferous fans.
Even though Juventus offered me a new contract, I humbly and respectfully opted to commit myself to a club elsewhere. It will be unbearably austere to play against Juventus in the future, but I had to make this commitment, purely to the interest of my family, and it’s my hope and wish that the fans would understand and accept this decision.
I played with legends and some of the best players in the world, in a golden Juventus sbobet168 generation, and will miss them all. To the two great Coaches I worked under — Massimiliano Allegri and Antonio Conte — and their support staff, I say ‘thank you’ for making me a better player. Management acquired my services with a fortune from Udinese and I can’t thank them enough for positively changing my life. The unflinching emotional support I received from the fans, even in my worst injury times, was so amazing that I feel deep love for this club and will forever appreciate the kindness shown to me.
Asamoah, 29, joined Juventus from Udinese the summer after the club captured their first of three Serie A titles under Antonio Conte’s watch. It’s safe to say that Juve got the better end of the deal with Asamoah as compared to his Udinese teammate, Mauricio Isla.
While he doesn’t play as big of a role as he did when he first signed with Juventus, he has been one of the constants on a roster that has changed drastically over the past six years.
Now, Asamoah is going to be one of the many players heading away from the club in what is expected to be quite a summer of change around Juventus headquarters.
Asamoah joins legendary goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon and longtime fullback Stephan Lichtsteiner as confirmed departures once the season comes to a close. There will likely be a few other players who leave over the next few months, but as of right now that’s only talk in the press rather than stone cold facts like the other three. sbobet168
