Arsenal are still believed to be interested in a deal for Boca Juniors winger maxbet Cristian Pavon this summer, according to reports from Spain.
The Gunners were heavily linked with a move for the player back in January, yet no deal was done despite TyC Sports claiming at the time that the club were set to meet his £27million release clause.
Fast forward six months and Pavon could potentially arrive at the Emirates as Unai Emery looks to strengthen his squad ahead of the new campaign.
According to Spanish publication AS, as reported by the Mirror, Arsenal are still keen on the player and they see him as a long-term replacement for Alexis Sanchez, who departed for Manchester United back in January.
However, it is believed that Boca are not desperate to cash in on their star player at present and will wait until they receive the right offer.
Pavon, maxbet who featured for his country in their disappointing World Cup campaign, is also believed to be attracting interest from Barcelona with Lionel Messi keen on luring his international teammate to the Nou Camp.
With Arsenal so far strengthening at the back with the signings of Bernd Leno and Stephan Lichtsteiner, as well as the imminent arrival of Sokratis Papastathopoulos from Borussia Dortmund, Emery and Sven Mislintat will no doubt look to strengthen further up the pitch.
The Gunners are still believed to be keen on adding a new winger and Pavon could be the man to give the side more balance going forward. maxbet
